Family Literacy Program

The Regional Office of Education's Family Literacy Program is funded through the Illinois Secretary of State Penny Severns Family Literacy grant in collaboration with the Warren County Public Library and the Galesburg Public Library. This five-component program offers adult education (English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education) courses, parenting education, playgroups/parent-child together time activities, and support using the library. Families receive free books and activities monthly. The Warren County program also has a birth to 3 classroom where children can attend while parents are in class.
